Site cut & retaining prep
Batters, cut to level and bases for retaining walls on sloping and lifestyle sections, shaped so the wall and the platform sit right.

Home / Residential
Residential earthworksHouse and lifestyle-block earthworks across the Waikato — building platforms, driveways, site cut, drainage and section prep. Dug clean and compacted to grade, ready for the builder and the engineer.
Residential earthworks is the trade everything else inherits. The platform sets the level the foundation crew works to, the fill decides whether the slab settles, and the drainage decides whether the section is pleasant to live on or a problem to be solved later.
It is also the work most likely to hold up a build if it is not right. A platform that does not match the drawings or fails a compaction test stands the concrete crew down and pushes the whole programme out.
We work off your site plan, geotechnical report and levels rather than around them, build the fill in compacted layers, and hand over a platform the next trade can start on. Section drainage, driveways and access get done while there is still machine room to do them properly.
From a bare or sloping section to a compacted platform your build can start on. Done tidy, on time and to spec.

Building platforms cut, filled, benched and compacted to grade, ready for your foundation crew and your engineer. The first trade on site sets the tolerance for everything that follows.

Driveways, entranceways and long rural access formed, metalled and compacted, with the culvert and crossing at the road end done properly. From the gate to the front door, in all weather.

Stormwater lines, subsoil drainage, soak holes and downpipe connections. Water is what turns a good section into a problem section, and it is far cheaper to deal with before the lawn goes in.

Clearing, demolition spoil removal, topsoil strip and respread. Getting a rough or overgrown section ready to build or landscape.

Final shaping, contouring and topsoil placement. The earthworks that set your landscaper up for the finished look.
